Do you ever feel like wandering out in the rain?
I wrote this poem over the summer. It was during the time of day that I was working for the United States navy. I tried to work hard, but sometimes there just wasn’t enough work to go around. I hope you enjoy the poem, and are able to overlook its quirkiness. I really love poetry, if well crafted, and I intend to expand on this particular piece some day.
Poetry and stories. Sounds and words.
What makes a story a story
What makes a song a song
How does one write
a picture so stunning
that others will sing along?
Have you ever wished to grasp the hilt of a blade which will pierce the soul? Has your soul been pierced by that blade before? Do you know the sweet sorrow, the ringing cold compassion, of the final line that brushes the world aside into the abyss full of stars?
“Have you entered into the springs of the sea,
Or walked in the recesses of the deep?
Have the gates of Death been revealed to you,
Or have you seen the gates of Deep Darkness?
Have you understood the expanse of the earth?
Tell if you know all this.”
Job 38:16-18
A man was once asked these things by the Weilder.
“Has the rain a father, or who has begotten the drops of dew?
From whoose womb has come the ice?
Or the frost of heaven, who has given it birth?”
Job 38:28-29
Do you ever feel like wandering out in the rain?
Good poem.
when I was a kid I used to play in the rain.
That was an excellent poem and wandering in the rain is wonderful. Especially when you look up and see all the water falling straight down onto your face. You need to post something else
I think it’s about wandering out into the rain. Usually I like to play in the rain instead.
